INSynergy has also pioneered the use of The Bridge Device to treat pain during the period of opiate/heroin withdrawals. The Bridge is FDA cleared to be used in acute or chronic pain. It interferes with pain signals from the spine and brain and is easy to install in the office. The INSynergy-Bridge protocol is a patent-pending process that uses The Bridge Device as a tool to comfortably transition to Vivitrol, a monthly injection of naltrexone, which is non-addicting and non-divertable.

Genetic and Drug Testing

INSynergy uses Highly Complex CLIA-Certified Laboratories to measure levels of medications, drugs of abuse, and metabolites of alcohol. Results help monitor progress towards sobriety and harm reduction. INSynergy also use Genetic Testing to predict responses to anti-craving medication and risk for addiction and alcoholism.

At INSynergy, as part of the work-up, genetic testing is offered to predict response to certain treatments. Metabolism of certain drugs, neurotransmitters, and vitamins, can be identified, as well as function of certain receptors involved in addiction such as the (OPRM-1) gene, and mood (DRD2-A1, MTHFR, and COMT) genes.

Anti Craving Medications

INSynergy is an approved provider of Vivitrol (Naltrexone), the first and only once-monthly injectable medication to treat opiate and alcohol dependence. Once the INSynergy client is detoxed and stabilized, individual psychotherapy is started with one of our experienced psychologists, counselors, or therapists. Core conflictual relationship themes are addressed and other issues that might be contributing to emotional pain.

Group Therapy and Lectures

Most of the work is done in group therapy. Many find this non-12 step approach very enlightening and the most popular component of the program.
